This model is really the the first original preindustrial Hermann Weissenborn  instrument. The depth is very thin, around 50 mm and could have a short solid Neck

Very nice and amazing instrument without giving up a resonant sound, because the room inside the instrument is alway enough to get the best slide sound. I like to use it with a pick up (www.I-spira.com),  made in Italy, a  handcrafted pick up for an electic instrument also if the soul is extremely acoustic. 

Available in all 4 styles and woods for the same hourglass models price, except for the model with solid neck.
